Jon and Kim Pelen serve the many Temporary Foreign Workers in Ladner and throughout the Lower Mainland. We support the Pelen’s as they help workers navigate life in Canada (e.g., providing language translation and transportation for medical appointments, banking, transportation to access services and groceries, etc.) and seek to meet their social and spiritual needs through running an annual soccer tournament among the 8 local greenhouses, leading Bible studies, and organizing trips throughout Metro Vancouver.
Artisan Church of Vancouver is a community seeking to join God in the renewal of all things. Since Estuary’s beginning, Artisan has been a source of encouragement and support. While Estuary worked toward becoming a registered charity, Artisan graciously managed Estuary’s bookkeeping, charitable donations and receipting. Artisan continues to be a collaborative partner in ministry.
We are grateful to rent space from and foster partnership with Ladner United Church. Located in the heart of Ladner Village, Estuary rents space in Ladner United’s beautiful facility for worship, other larger group gatherings, and one-on-one meetings. Estuary partners with Ladner United throughout the year on various events.
While Estuary Church is in its early years, we are grateful for the encouragement, guidance, and resourcing provided by Mennonite Church Manitoba.
